Final Post

I liked reading the Revealers. I did not really use any strategies while reading. I just read the book and done. Sometimes I would ask myself, How did he write this, experience, or maybe someone might have told him. I liked the beginning of the book. Like when Russel says Bad Bike because his bike was in Richies way(p.17). But I still have not found out what Root-Beer is.

Perspectives

If I were Russel life would have been hard. I would have gotten bullied all the time. In fact I think that I would think that I would be better off dead. I would really want those bullies to stop and just live in peace. I would not like to go to school at all. I would be faking to be sick mostly every day.

Life would be hard but I would not tell my parents because sometimes they make it worse and the bully would get even worse.

Revealers - Keeping Quiet

I think that the parents should not get involved. I think that the child should learn to solve his own problems and not wine to his mother. It might be that he does not want his parents to know (p.8).
He might have thought that if he told his parents then his parents would get all involved and probably tell the bullies parents. Then the bullies parents would get mad at their son because of what he has done. Then the bullier would have gotten mad at the kid that he bullied and would have done something even worse. This happened to me when I was in elementary, I never told my parents because I was too afraid of getting hurt by the bullier.
So I think that the parents should not get involved in any way. If the parents would get involved then the kid would never learn how to stand up for himself.
